OUR STORY

RMR Pro-Diesel Technology, LLC with Headquarters in Jet, Oklahoma. This story was recently featured along with our ADs in "Image Driven Magazine".   And Midnight Trucking Radio Network broadcasts our story and our Ads on all of their 50,000 WATT Stations plus XM Satellite Radio. WE have also been invited to participate by installing "The ENHANCER" on the Chrome Shop Mafia MAKEOVER Tractor donated by J.B. Hunt; which is touring the country for approximately six months and then will be given to one lucky winner.

About

RMR Pro-Diesel Technology, LLC founder Craig Ridgway’s desire for faster trucks leads to change in turbo charged valve patent: This leads to better diesel fuel efficiency for Truckers.

Craig Ridgway, Founder and Inventor, has always wanted to have the fastest truck, car, tractor, or whatever had a motor propelling the vehicle to the finish line.

Over many years, Craig continued to research and to improve upon his exploration of a better way to increase horsepower on the track, farm, and on the highway; and to do it more efficiently. He realized early on that he could develop and enhance more horsepower and burn less fuel by inventing a progressive valve that would inject propane vapor into the diesel motor.

In perfecting his valve, Craig also found a way to reduce emissions. However, fuel efficiency and emissions reduction was not what he set out to do. Craig’s initial intent was to crank up the horsepower to obtain greater speed. All he ever wanted to do was to make a vehicle go faster than anyone else.

Craig, like so many competitors, likes to keep his secrets secret. So, he did not share with others what he was doing to gain the speed. But then a friend of his suggested that he should consider getting a patent. Well, Craig finally discovered a person who had really patented a valve. After Craig suggested a couple of improvements to the valve, they agreed on the terms of the new relationship, and they began working together. The original patent holder agreed to manufacture the progressive valves, and Ridgway and his company, RMR Pro-Diesel Technology, would have exclusive rights to the patent.

On May 10, 2005, RMR Pro-Diesel Technology, LLC was formed. But, as fate would have it; on that same date, Craig had an electrical fire in his shop on the farm and he lost all of his tools, his ’23 T Roadster, and his infamous “Big Red” truck. With no insurance to cover these losses, this fire was devastating. Craig poured his heart and soul into his newly formed company to get through this difficult time.

I asked Craig to explain in layman’s terms how propane and diesel work together inside the diesel motor. He told me that propane works as a catalyst with diesel to develop more energy while the piston is on the down stroke instead of wasting it going out the turbo (as black smoke). With propane we don’t make a hotter burn, we make a quicker longer burn because it burns all of the diesel fuel when the piston is on the down stroke; turning it to energy. Without the propane, a diesel engine burns 68-70% of its diesel. But using propane with the RMR Pro-Diesel Tech valve, we burn 98% of the diesel.

Craig told me that the same valve can be used in many applications, on and off the highway. He uses a 4-wheel drive diesel tractor, equipped with the valve, in his farming operation. This tractor burned approximately 16 gallons of diesel per hour under a full load before the valve was installed. Now, with the propane valve, it dropped to 10.3 gallons of diesel per hour and about 1.25 gallons of propane per hour, AND gave the tractor the ability to jump 4 gears! Ridgway said propane is a stable fuel and farmers have been using it for years for a number of purposes.

Craig hopes to also promote the valve as a device to reduce emissions and increase fuel mileage, because commercial truckers need both. And, many who are looking for greener ways to operate will find this very appealing.

In December, 2007 RMR installed a new state-of-the-art DYNO; complete with the 5 gas analysis for emissions testing. By doing this, RMR has the ability to fine tune the valves to each truck. Those tested to date have seen fuel efficiency increases from 1 to 3 miles per gallon; and much cleaner emissions.

Ridgway admits he “stumbled” onto his invention; but, isn’t that the way almost all inventions are developed?

RMR Pro-Diesel Technology, LLC has spent much time making sure its product is the best quality possible, with the best safety features available. In the last year RMR has developed an idle jet in the valve to improve emissions during idling and to reduce diesel fuel consumption by 8/10 to 9/10 per gallon per hour, proven on trucks they have tested. The DOT motor fuel approved propane tanks of 45-50 gallons used by RMR are approved in all 50 states, and placarding is not required to run them. Tank size is state regulated; some states will allow larger tanks.

RMR could not function without its faithful employees. Amber is the office manager and works hand in hand with Craig to answer as many questions from all those contacting RMR either by phone, email or going on their website at www.prodieseltech.net. Henry is the shop foreman and is in charge of installations. Tony is the dyno technician and fabricator expert. Last but not least Craig’s wife, Gail, is the accountant. Craig also has two partners. This business would not have succeeded without 100% of the group effort to keep moving forward with RMR.

“Currently we are selling a lot by word of mouth, working on our marketing strategies, and we are setting up dealerships.” Craig said, “so far 500 units have been sold with total satisfaction.”

I guess you might say that the Craig is driven! And to think all he wanted was to keep this a secret so he would have more speed.
